Portraits

People, alone or together, a milestone, a gift, or simply someone whose face deserves to be painted with care. I work from photographs or, where possible, from life, and I paint with honesty and warmth rather than flattery.

Animal portraits

Pets are family, and I treat them as such. I aim to capture not just the likeness but the particular presence, the thing that makes your animal unmistakably themselves.

Landscapes and places

A place can carry as much meaning as a face. I paint landscapes that hold a sense of time and light, a family home, somewhere significant, or a view you want to keep.

Commissioning a painting should feel like a collaboration. Here's the shape of the process:

1. Get in touch. Tell me about your vision, a photo, a description, or just an instinct. We'll talk through what you're hoping for and whether the project is a good fit.

2. Proposal. I'll send a quote covering size, materials, and timeline. No surprises.

3. Work begins. A deposit secures your place in my schedule. I share progress at key stages so you can see the painting develop.

4. Delivery. Your finished painting arrives ready to hang, with care instructions and documentation of the materials used.

Commissions are priced to reflect the time, materials, and craft involved. Smaller studies begin at $1,500, larger or multi-figure works are priced on inquiry. Custom framing and shipping can be arranged.

I work with a small number of clients at a time so that each painting gets my full attention. I'm happy to discuss availability and lead times when you get in touch.
